Nyla Levy performing in 100 Stories at the Hackney Empire – 24th October

Hackney Empire is launching an exciting new storytelling project called 100 stories, which takes its inspiration from the 100 different languages spoken in Hackney.

We are encouraging people to share their stories of culture, heritage and community for the benefit of creating a digital, educational archive for children.

The project is all about celebrating diversity, introducing people to the arts and storytelling, as well as being able to learn more about different cultures and passing that knowledge on to the next generation.

Submit your story and it may be chosen to be performed in front of a live audience at Hackney Empire during our Family Fun Weekend in October 2015.

We are looking for a range of different styles of story which represent your community or cultural heritage; here are some ideas to get you started
