Laura comes to City Actors Management as a Classical Theatre graduate from Central School of Speech and Drama.
Laura's witty and lively interpretation of Nerissa (The Merchant of Venice) and her moving, honest portrayal of Juliet (Romeo and Juliet) impressed us. We were met with a bubbly, enthusiastic and attractive young actress, and were delighted to find such depth and substance.
Laura has worked with Ape Theatre Company. In Pills, Thrills and Automobiles she played Vicky, a young girl who survives a car accident after a weekend of excess at a music festival, an accident which proves fatal for her friends. This was a demanding role and a great opportunity for Laura to work with new writing in a modern context to complement her classical experience.
Laura recently played Hero in Much Ado About Nothing for the Cambridge Shakespeare Festival, Cecily in The Importance of being Earnest at Greenwich Playhouse and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet for The Young Shakespeare Company
We are confident Laura has an exciting career ahead, an articulate newcomer with intelligence and great emotional range. Although obviously well cast as the classic juvenile lead, her honest performances promise a diverse range of roles across all genres.
