David comes to City Actors Management after several successful years as a stand-up comedian working with the likes of Tim Vine and Harry Hill. His love of character and drama lead him to train as an actor, now his range extends way beyond comedy, but he is still able to draw on skills such as audience rapport, timing and improvisation that this previous experience has given him.
On meeting David we were immediately struck by his voice, a true cockney born in Bow with vocal tones similar to the late Ian Dury. This obviously lends itself well to a variety of characters. David has already played a range of villains, police officers and prison warders! He is also well suited to many Dickensian creations and to Shakespeare’s low comic characters.
David also has experience of TV presenting and is confident in direct address with a down to earth approach. We all at City Actors are excited by David’s potential and enthusiasm and look forward to a successful 2008.
